George V. Hartmann
(Member) was born in San Francisco, California on December 5, 1946. He was admitted
to the bar in 1974 (California and U.S. Tax Court) after attending Stanford University
where he attained his B.A. in 1971 and his J.D. in 1974. In 1975 he served for the
U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. From 1977 - 1987 he served as an instructor at
Humphrey's Law School in Stockton, California where he taught courses in Taxation, Civil
Procedure, and Estate Planning. He also served as Chairman for the Stockton Unified
School District Strategic Planning Committee.
